Kenya: Heroes providing Communities with masks to fight COVID-19

The group of women we filmed in Samburu, Kenya, carries a story of quiet transformation. Leaving behind charcoal burning and illicit brew-making, they now gather to stitch masks for their communities and reusable pads for their girls — work that speaks of dignity, care, and new possibility. Their story is framed by the rich culture of the Samburu people, whose deep traditions and strong sense of identity continue to shape everyday life. Through this group, we witnessed women choosing a different path and, stitch by stitch, building a more hopeful future
