This is one of the most memorable stories we have had the privilege to tell in Southern Africa for Christian Aid UK. In Mashonaland, Zimbabwe, we encountered some of the most beautiful stories and were welcomed by some of the most generous and kind-hearted people. For three days, this wonderful family, led by the matriarch Janet, opened their home to us. They took us to their farm, showed us their assortment of seeds, and invited us to share in their daily life. We farmed together, enjoyed warm sadza in the shade, watched them dance, and listened as they sang. We witnessed the strength and beauty of a family led by a matriarch, whose daughters are now raising families of their own. It was a true privilege to help tell this story
